In Seiza facing forward, begin the draw by grasping the saya with the left hand and rotating 30º into a center position. This places it into your right hand. Perform Koiguchi no kirikata and extend the sword the first 1/3 from the saya. THis is done without moving the upper body. When the draw begins, extend the sword forward as you raise to you knees. Place your toes under you. You should be at saya banare position. Drive hard with your left toes rotating your center into position to catch the monouchi when the sword fills the left space infront of you. Stay with your center connected to the monouchi as you extend and cut. Drive the kissaki arround to raise overhead with a single hand without the tsuba passing your center line. When the tsuka come within grasping distance, drive the blade around through full extension and down using kirioroshi technique. drive the sword through wet umbrella chiburi arround. The sword should stop as the left foot comes to rest next to your right. Extend Right foot back. the tip of your sword should be level with your front toe as you begin noto. Grasp the saya with your left hand and Drive the kissaki around to be parellel with the saya. Extend the sword forward as you bring the saya into a “T” formation. Drop the says until the tip falls into the koiguchi. Align the saya with the blade and return 2/3 of the sword into the saya. Drive the saya on the remaining 1/3 as you drop to your right knee. Lift straight and step forward into your saya. Step back to starting position with your hand on the tsuka. Drop your right hand then your left.

Begin facing Right and turn Left to cut drawing from behind the leg.

Begin facing 180º to shomen.
